Jamie is a designer, programmer, and technical writer with an aptitude for problem solving and a passion for technology. Although she has extensive design and drafting experience in the prefabricated construction business, she has always been interested in computer programming, web design, and technical writing. Several years ago, she began working on her Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology at Western Governors University which she completed in June 2017. She is currently working towards her Professional Certificate in Technical Communications though the UC San Diego Extension.
Jamie is seeking new challenges that build on her programming and technical writing interests, but she will bring to that new position many transferrable skills gained from her prior work experience. She is detail-oriented and attentive to project specifications and schedules. She has strong business knowledge and experience working in cross-functional teams. Her past job experiences have included training new hires, writing and illustrating technical manuals, participating in process improvement initiatives, and enhancing company spreadsheets with VBA for Excel.
Jamie also develops and maintains websites related to her passions. She recently launched the Trikke Universe and Me-Mover Around the World sites using WordPress. She also re-launched Phillyblast with an interim WordPress installation to cover the Martin Tower demolition. She is an active member of the Lehigh Valley WordPress Meetup group and a volunteer and web designer for their annual WordCamp event. As she continues to learn about this popular content management system, she plans to develop custom themes and plugins to enhance those sites as well as this one.
As a committed lifelong learner and experienced professional, Jamie has great qualifications to help any organization with their tech-related endeavors. She is available to interview for tech-related positions within your company and also for freelance web design, writing, and drafting projects.
