It’s hard to believe it has been over four months since I worked up the courage to leave my full-time corporate job to grow my side hustle into this full-time business. This summer has flown by, but I have balanced it between completing client projects, taking some time off to be with friends, and venturing out into our world again.
One of my personal projects this summer has been to redesign this website from the ground up to better reflect the services I can provide for you. In conjunction with this relaunch, I am excited to add this blog to better engage with you and to help you navigate the radical shifts that technology and business are going through. I’ll also share some personal stories that remind us all to take time out to enjoy the wonders of our world and the technology we’ve enhanced it with.
Although I have not taken some of the trips I had hoped would be possible this year, I still enjoyed railfanning outings in Altoona, Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland. Closer to home I have also visited the scenic town of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania and biked the vast network of rail trails in the area. I upgraded to my first eBike this year which is a fun, high-tech way to see more of the area’s old-world charm.
As I shift my focus back to career and business this fall, I am looking forward to completing the final course at the UCSD Extension towards my Technical Communication professional certificate. This is a top-notch program that has really rounded out my skills in technical writing, document layout, critical thinking, and graphic design. I am looking forward to putting those skills to work in creating engaging documentation for your customers and staff.
Feel free to reach out to me with any projects you may have in the pipeline. I will be happy to review them with you to discuss whether I am the right fit to bring them to fruition. And if you’re not ready to work with me yet, please consider subscribing to this blog to stay in touch. I will be posting weekly content that I hope will inform and entertain you regardless of whether you’re ready to work with me or not.
How has your summer gone? I hope it has found you in good health and high spirits as things inch back towards normal. Perhaps you’re looking forward to the cooler fall weather as much as I am? Drop me a line in the comments and let me know what’s up.
